Thank you for your interest in Katonah Playcare Early Learning Center. We are proud to be celebrating over 40 years of providing quality preschool education for children between the ages of two and five. Our highly qualified staff of Early Childhood Educators is dedicated to creating fun, hands on, and developmentally appropriate experiences for your child.

Our main goal is to establish a strong foundation for each child to reach their individual potential. We aim to build self-confidence and emotional security in a trusting environment, where children are treated with respect. A gentle structure and consistent guidelines help each child feel confident in taking risks. Warmth and an understanding of child development are the key ingredients used to encourage positive self-esteem.

At Katonah Playcare Early Learning Center, each month explores a different theme. These themes are a vehicle for presenting age-appropriate concepts and skills. In using this approach, we touch upon all aspects of childrens' growth and development. Everything is taught in a way that engages the senses and has the children actively involved in their learning.

Family involvement is vital to the success of your child’s preschool education. We very much believe in the connection between school and home and encourage open communication. Our curriculum allows families to participate in many ways.

Katonah Playcare ELC is a warm, creative, and stimulating environment that encompasses all aspects of a child’s growth and development.
To us, the tree represents the child and the branches, surrounded by vibrant colors, symbolize the social, emotional, and academic growth that happens here at KPCELC.
We, the Directors and teachers, work to nurture a strong, fertile, and stable foundation for each and every child. As well, we provide a safe place for children to learn and grow. We want to develop, preserve and enrich each child’s sense of wonder and creativity. To us, our symbol embodies all of these important tenets of our school.

Katonah Playcare ELC is located within the historic hamlet of Katonah, NY. We take advantage of our wonderful town in many ways, from walking to the library to meet the town librarians, to mailing letters right at the Katonah Post Office, to partnering with the Community Center of Northern Westchester for outreach programs such as their Diaper Drive and Holiday Food Drive. We also have worked with the Katonah United Methodist Church, whose building we are located in, to make Valentine cards for church members. We are always looking for opportunities to be involved in our amazing community!
